"Jasper
Collage" done for a generous classmate who has hosted numerous
reunions. She gave methe carved face for a birthday gift; I gave it
back, as a watercolour painting. |
"Tonquin
Valley"
My grandparents spent their honeymoon here in 1930, camping for
five weeks while Grandad built a stone cabin for the Alpine Club of
Canada. They later owned a tourist chalet (built by her grandad in
1928-29) at the base of nearby Mount Edith Cavell. |
"Cleve Everett"
a kindred-spirit cousin who drowned in Jasper in 1971 at age 21.
He rests there forever, as does Old Man Mountain, shown in the background
of this and the "Jasper Collage".
